Caring for Shek Pai Wan Carnival
Hub members joined the Caring for Shek Pai Wan - "「識裸識買」環保嘉年華 暨垃圾徵費推廣日" on 11 Nov 2023.
We collaborated with other NGOs and sponsors to share different environmentally friendly information and promote 'Reduce Waste at Source' & 'Municipal Solid Waste Charging' to the neighbours in the Shek Pai Wan estate. We could see many smiling faces of the neighbours, who enjoyed the carnival a lot.
We are happy to invite Austin Lo, one of the 2021/22 In Action selected teams, as our guest speaker to share his project "WeRice". A social enterprise that connects surplus food from restaurants with individuals in need. WeRice partners with restaurants to offer discounted meals that can be purchased and redeemed by beneficiaries through the WeRice platform. Austin shared his idea and mission of reducing waste, so to help people with needs through the app.
Thanks again for everyone's help. Our MC Shirley Hui, Stage Helper Wing Tung NG, Receptionists Ricky and Hedy Hui, and Booth Helpers TERESA CHAN and Yi Nam Xu, all showed great support and helped so well.
